      MAZOMANIE/ ROXBURY - Lillian Mae Larsen, age 82, of rural Mazomanie, died on Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at her home. She was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada, on June 19, 1921, the daughter of the late Frank and Ella Mae (Fournier) Stammen. She was united in marriage to Ruben A. Larsen on May 16, 1942. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2002.

      Lillian was employed as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital in the 1950s and also at area nursing homes. She enjoyed traveling and going for Sunday drives.

      She is survived by two brothers, Earl (Ardis) Stammen of Grand Marsh, and Ralph Stammen of Oxford; two sisters, Marion (Lloyd) Smith of Glendale, Ariz., Judy (Rondell) Easterling of Hazel Green, Ky.; eight children, Robert (Clare) Larsen of Stone Lake, Richard (Madonna) Larsen of Lodi, William Larsen of Leland, Timothy Larsen of Mazomanie, Sharon (Ronald) Crochet of Franklin, La., Carol (Robert) Riedner of Token Creek, Diane (Rebel) Powers of Montello, and Lisa (Tim) Pobjoy of Lodi; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NORBERT'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roxbury, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, with Father LaVerne Meier officiating. Burial will be in St. Norbert's Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003.
