      EHLENFELDT Louis

      Louis Ehlenfeldt, 77, died Thursday, January 3, 1974, in a Sun Prairie nursing home after a brief illness. He was born in Jefferson, May 22, 1896.

      Mr. Ehlenfeldt farmed in the Marshall area and retired in 1952. He was married to the former Genevieve Krause at Marshall, Wis. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War I.

      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald, Monona, and Wilfred, Sun Prairie: two daughters, Mrs. William Gavinski, Columbus. and Mrs. David O'Neil, Madison; a sister, Mrs. Fred Kleinschmidt, Marshall; two brothers, Anton, Sun Prairie and John, Waterloo; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7 in Sacred Hearts Church. The rosary was recited in the Tuschen Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 6. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marshall.
